CS&T Tennis Programs Summer 2009

STAFF:
We are lucky to have a fabulous staff. 

Kevin Branco is the CHS girl’s high school tennis coach.
Dave Branco has coached for Russell Mill and for the CHS boy’s team.
Alex Ciampi, Keith Hyland, Laura Kalpas, Caleb Klick and Sam Scrivani all grew up playing tennis for CS&T and they all have been varsity starters on their respective high school teams.

GROUP LESSONS:
    - We have group lessons for children ages 4-13. All that is needed is a racquet and some enthusiasm. 
    - Group Lessons start July 6th and end August 15th.

Sign-ups will be available on Opening Day.

PRIVATE LESSONS:
Private Lessons are available for adults and children. Please ask Coach Branco or any of the tennis staff for details.

TEAMS:
We have 2 levels of team play: the A team and the B team.

    The A Team 
        - Separate boys' team and girls' teams. 
        - These competitive teams play in the Sudbury Valley Junior Tennis League.
        - Tryouts: June 15-18 from 4-5:30 pm.
        - Practices: 4:30-5:30pm from June 22-25, 2009; 8:30-9:30am Monday–Friday starting June 29, 2009
        - Matches are held Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from about 1:30-3:30 pm. 
        - Parents are needed to drive players to away matches.
        - Parents are requested to volunteer to bring drinks and snacks to the home matches.

     The B Team 
        - Is designed for the less experienced tennis players who are ready to play games, 
          but are not ready for A Team competition. 
        - Children must be able to serve and rally and must understand the fundamentals of scoring. 
        - It is a co-ed team.
        - Practices are Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30- 4:30 pm.
        - Matches against Russell Mill are played on Friday afternoons from 1-3 pm.
        - B team starts July 9, 2009 

WOMEN'S CLINICS:
We have low key Friday morning women's clinics which are a lot of fun. No experience necessary. Beginner lessons are from 9:30-10:30am and advanced beginner lessons are from 10:30-11:30 am.

MEN'S NIGHT AND LADIES NIGHT:
TBA.

We encourage you to check the bulletin boards in the club lobby and on the tennis shed near the courts. We post all the important announcements and information on these boards. We also encourage you to check out the club website for updated information. www.chelmsfordswimandtennis.org
